I still think it's crazy to tell yourself it's forever. Quit for "awhile" and see how you like it.

Then see how long you can put off smoking again. This is where you have to be somewhat masochistic. - See how much you can bear torturing yourself - one more day? another day? Resolve to suffer one day at a time, and eventually it becomes less painful. Grit the old teeth and hang in there for another day!

It's amazing how quickly years pass!
