I suspect he will make good on "enough" of the amount by the end of the year to avoid #2, and probably even #1 (as the hassle can far outweigh the benefits quickly).I totally don't get why guys do this. My oldest sister's ex was continually 30 days late on alimony and child support, but that was because he was slipping in under the deadline for not paying interest. Even that backfired on him, because it turned out he owed interest on the late child support, so sis got an odd extra payment the month she expected the child support to stop. That kind of made sense, given cheap penny pinching; but what DN is doing doesn't make sense at all.As far as my own situation, I haven't been even a day late on any alimony unless the post office took more than a week to get the check there. No child support, because I had custody until daughter turned into an adult.Patzer
