I think a lot of SSYS' pullback was due to a lack of progress from HP on selling their printers in Europe. When the HP deal was signed, there was a lot of exuberence like it was SSYS' big break. SSYS needs to see growth and initiative out of HP in the European market to regain its footing. I don't think that HP would put the time and resources into the venture without making an effort to see it through.

3d printing is making a splash. It was on the Colbert Report recently albeit a desktop version not industrial like SSYS.
