I think Bush made the world a better place to live, and thats what I think an american president should do.

A debatable statement, indeed. The Iraq war was a very bold move, in my opinion, and appealed to one's sense of taking action. However, the Bush spin that the war was for a better world, in my opinion, may have been just a cover.

The best description for the motivation for the war I have read was the need to stabilize Iraq and ensure the availability of its oil supply now that the ability of Saudi Arabia to fulfill its current role of meeting world shortfalls is in question.

9/11 and Saddam's WMD were used to sell the need for the war to achieve this purpose.

However, the administration's unilateralism and jingoism in executing the war plans may be cause for grief in the future.

It is too early to know if we have a "better world" as yet. Certainly, many Iraqi's would not agree.
