I think it's possible to be a teacher and get rich. There are many benefits that go with teaching, which make up for the salary, but by getting an early start, consistent saving, and wise investing it is possible to "get rich." How rich? I don't know exactly, but I'm hoping to have the ability to retire long before my time is up. I don't think I'm being unrealistic, but between 45 and 50 looks very possible.

Who knows what I'll do when I hit the magic number? Maybe I'll take off around the world with my wife, build a new house, or maybe I'll still want to teach.

Well, it's sure nice to think about!
