I think perhaps you are not yet mature enough to realize what is really important. I can assure you that a big fancy house and "dream" car are not. Are you trying to impress friends by buying drinks and dinner? What is important varies from person to person and according to the situation. Reminds me of an "argument" I had with my brother when we went to the Salt Lake Olympics. Brother, hippie at heart, was a volunteer on the ski slopes, and had made friends with a couple from Utah a year or so before and crashed on their sofa. Me, I had a hotel room, nothing special but definitely overpriced because of the games. Brother is harping about it and I told him, Hey, dumba$$, I work hard, I have to schedule my vacations (he takes off on a whim), and when I do, I don't want to have to worry about stuff, just want to enjoy.I can hardly wrap my head around the waste. You manage to spend 14k a month? What on earth are you spending it on? This just boggles the mind. One thing for sure, a luxury once tasted soon becomes a necessity. But look at it this way. All that "waste" is keeping several people employed. DW & I are in a similar category. We work hard, its our money, what does it matter. We have a good balance of enjoying today (because in our fields of work we see too many people that have run out of tomorrows) and saving for the future.JLC
