I think that if you want to send your child to private school, then you should pay for it. My tax dollars are used to fund public school, and I object if you want to take those tax dollars to be able to send your kid to private school instead. If you want private school, then I think you should pay for it, and shouldn't be looking for me to fund both public education and your kids going to a private school.

There are a bunch of Libertarians who have moved to New Hampshire in the hope of eventually gaining enough power at a state level to put their theories into practice. One thing they want to do is eliminate public schools altogether and not supply anything in their place. One of the leaders put it quite succinctly: "If you want your kids to be educated, send them to private school. I spent $13,000 a year to educate my kids, and the rest of you should do the same."

I don't think they'll actually get that one through the legislature.
