I think there's an insurance test you can take somewhere here in The Motley Fool...that helps you determine whether you need it or not. Can anyone point jmacker in the right direction?

Sorry, but you missed the point with this one.

Life insurance is where you bet that you will die, and the insurance company bets that you won't.

They weren't talking about life insurance in that way.

They were talking about an investment where you bet that someone else will die, and the other people get the money, and try not to prove you correct.

It's not for everyone.
