I too hear that law seems to be getting saturated making it difficult to for many to find good entry level positions. However, I think patent law is a unique area because of the technical background required. When you talk about barriers to entry or protective moats around business ventures, in technology, patents are fundamental and almost all are filed by attorneys or patent agents.I see patent law as a steady growth field. And who would not file in the US regardless of where you are located.Patent agents do work under supervision, but do represent clients.Working in the US Patent office is an excellent way to learn the ins and outs of patent law and details of much technology.
