I, too, will RE this year (end of March) and have benefited by lurking on this board. My contributions to it have been limited, because I had evolved a strategy that was effectively similar to the philosophy dominating this discussion. I had planned to become more active following ER, beginning to share my experiences and financial results.

The rub for me is not the amount, but the fact that I don't believe this business model is likely to succeed. Also, I intend to enjoy ER and would not be a daily or weekly, or perhaps, even a monthly participant. My financial planning is long term and unlikely to change quickly enough to require more frequent dialogue. And, since I believe my plan will work, I doubt that there will be much new information shared which would substantially change it. The other "free" sources may provide sufficient information in those areas of possible future concern; Social Security, Medicare, desireability of location, etc.

So, somewhat reluctantly, I will stop following this board. Thank you all for sharing you information and best of luck in the future.
