I use TD Ameritrade for many years. They are very helpful and Most (if not all) of the time they will pay you a bonus for bringing funds from elsewhere to them. It can range up to about 0.3%. ($50K is $150 bonus) Also ask about getting free trades and for as long as you can talk them into. For example 100 free trades for 5 days could be almost useless but 50-75 trades usable over 3 months can be valuable.. It's even more valuable if you have more than one account--split the free trades to all of them. Everything is negotiable and whatever you can get from them is more valuable than not asking and getting nothing.

Wherever you go ask about what bonuses you will get. After settling the bonus then ask about the free trades---To get you started.

good luck
