I use the 2-cycle engine oil that Wecoguy recommended for all outdoor tools (weed eater, leaf blower, Craftsman chain saw) except for the Stihl chainsaw*.
I keep the gas/oil mixtures in three different containers that I have labeled 40:1, 50:1, and Stihl.
I'll have to admit that I like wecoguy's suggestion of using 45:1 for everything and calling it good enough, but I already have a system in place.

*Stihl gave an extra 2 years of warranty to the chainsaw for buying a multi-pack of their brand of 2-cycle oil, so I figured that it was probably a good idea to get that brand.
