I use the on-line bill payment system set up by my CU. It doesn't charge for on-line bill paying if you maintain a certain balance. If the recipient isn't set up for electronic payments, then the CU will cut them a check, payable on my account. I love it. It also allows me to set up recurring payments. If you don't maintain the minimum balance that they want, they do charge a $5 fee per month, which would be a little more costly than stamps if I mailed everything. I really like this service because it allows me to schedule the date that I want each bill paid, so I can maximize interest and only sit down and pay bills a couple times a month.
