The take-away is that Alwaleed sold his 10% interest (via Kingdom Holding Co.) in Euro Disney to The Walt Disney Company in order for Disney to be able to delist Euro Disney and assume 100% of Disneyland Paris and its operations. This sale included shares of Disney in lieu of cash, and while the exact number of shares is not known, he is not listed as a significant shareholder, meaning he owns less than 5%. His holding company would continue to own this position regardless of his political or criminal situation.

Who notes that Prince Alwaleed bin Talal has been a very good friend to The Walt Disney Company and he hopes for the best possible outcome for him and his Disney investment...
