I was in Anthem (just north of Scottsdale/Phoenix) during the first week of August 2004. It was HOT. Like 110+ degrees hot. We spent about 8 hours a day in the pool, ingested a ton of water, and went thru sunscreen by the bottle.

I *really* enjoyed it. I do, however, think the key reason I enjoyed it was because I was at a private home and not at a hotel. Therefore, I was steps away from an air conditioned living room as well as a refrigerator and bathroom. I don't know that I would enjoy that kind of heat while staying at a hotel, where you have to pack your stuff (hat, book, towel, etc) in and out every time you want to go in and out. That said, it looks like you have a house/villa so it looks like you have that flexibility that I am speaking of.

HTH,
Sarah
