I was responding to your suggestion that the lack of memory alone made the argument an absurdity - I don't think that the lack of memory is dispositive.



Sensation is something that takes place purely in the brain. If the brain is not capable of experiencing sensory input, then it was never experienced in the first place.



So you're left with the empiric question of whether a fetus feels pain, which is what abortion opponents are trying to establish.



If there is no evidence to suggest that it does, and no first-hand accounts of it, then I doubt they're going to have much luck.
