I went to my undergrad (I was not grown up at the time) and my first Masters (it seemed like the thing to do). I must admit, I was disappointed by the second ceremony--you sit while a lot of undergraduates are having a special time...they hurried us through, and then they did the elaborate ceremonies for PhD students...hooding, kneeling, funny hats, all that stuff...

It really made me feel like the middle child. I will go to my law school ceremony--since it is just the law school, and they do the fancy doctoral pomp and circumstance...

But I am not going to the one for my second MS (it is the same speaker, so I have truly been there and done that).
