I would definitely check out Schwab to meet your investing needs. I've been with Schwab since the 70's (way before Internet trading) and have been very satisfied with their trading platforms as well as their customer service and tech support departments. I recently started to use their Street Smart Edge [SSE] trading platform. SSE is a user friendly trading platform for active traders which you download and is comparable to Trade Architect at Ameritrade. I have brokerage accounts at both Schwab and TD Ameritrade. Also the $8.95 trade commission at Schwab is very reasonable. Although Vanguard has a great selection of Mutual Funds, Schwab also has a very good selection and also has a lower expense ratio for their ETF's.https://www.schwab.com/public/schwab/investingHTHRichArizona
