I would do the ESPP--where else can you get a guaranteed 15% ROI?! Certainly not from paying off your mortgage early. To lock down the return, I;d sell the ESPP shares immediately rather than watch them all day, every day looking for a better time to sell.

You can ultimately use your ESPP-generated savings (from as many 6-month periods as it takes) to pay off your mortgage early if you wish. And/or to pay cash for your next car or any other savings goals.

I used my ESPP savings to pay my share of my kids' college tuition/expenses. We paid off our mortgage the old-fashioned way: when we semi-retired, we bought a house for less than the equity in our previous house (i.e., paid cash).
