I would have to tell you to pay this card off ASAP. My mother had/has this card and it was problems from the beginning. Alot of it was her fault, they sent her a check in the mail. I advised her not to cash the check. She did and it has been a battle ever since to get her out of this bottomless pit of debt. She charged it up to the max and when she was like a dollar over, they tacked on an extra over the limit fee. When I started making the payments for my mother, they would hold the check for weeks and she would be charged late fees and over the limit fees. When she received a substantial sum of money, I advised her to at least pay down the balance to a level where it wouldn't keep going over the limit. She chose to pay only $200 on a $5000 balance. At that point I excused myself from my mothers bad habit. Eventually, she sought help from a credit counseling agnecy. I believe that has helped. Take a look at the APR, when I looked at it initially for my mother it was approx. 25%. That was why I advised her to not to cash the check plus the fact that this was a cash advance she would be charged more.
