I'd have to say that Reminiscences of a Stock Operator by Edwin Lefevre should be on the top of any "First Investing Book to Read" list. It has little to do with hardcore analysis or investment advice; instead it gives the reader an excellent understanding of the psychology behind the markets, which is something every beginning investor should be aware of. Just my two cents.
