I'd suggest something like the portfolio in this article using Vanguard Funds.http://www.retireearlyhomepage.com/tithe.htmlIs there something like this out there that I can use as a reference that gets updated periodically until I feel more informed through reading books? Or is the whole point of this portfolio that it's time-proof, and you can leave your money in these same funds for 5-10 years?I'm leaning more towards just going to Vanguard. There is something about controlling my own destiny that is appealing, if if I actually mess it up by making mistakes.
