If calculus is where you and math parted company, don’t let the paper scare youfor those in fear of calc.....if you have a projectile slowing along its path and falling to the floor....you have the X axis as the floor in feet and an equation of decelleration plotted against that X axis......at any given point along the path of the projectile are tangents with a different equation.......to get from the first to the second equation you need a differential equation......it is late....this is not much of a post.....so for the sake of arguement....f(x)= X^2is Y=2Xthe integral is the area under a curve.....the integral of X^2 from 4 to 2 is2X^3 = 2(4)^3 - 2(2)^3= 128 - 16 = 112 no units applied at this hour....back to your regularly scheduled stuff.......Dave....been a while.....
