If I paid $200 for a vacuum cleaner, and you ask, I'll tell you. If I paid $20 for the same vacuum cleaner, on clearance, with a coupon, on my birthday so I got an extra 10% off, I'll tell everyone I know.
I wouldn't do either. I don't talk money.

When it came time to pay, cousin wouldn't tell us how much we owed. She didn't want to be "rude".
But this is a bit psychotic. This isn't "talking money" it's managing an agreed-to contract. X people agree to split costs for a certain thing. pro-rated costs are Y. How do you expect people to pay "Y" if you don't calculate what it is? It isn't like guessing the number of jelly beans in a jar.
