“Lake Oswego educators burned by a broken halide bulb are told
the effects should be temporary.”

But they weren't. A year later four of these teachers are in daily pain due to eye damage. They wear dark glasses inside, teach in rooms with reduced lighting, and are virtually incapable of doing anything outside on sunny days. (OK, no wisecracks about the number of sunny days in Oregon!)

You might want to ask a few judicious questions at your school.
