If it's your intention to misunderstand what I say, then you have succeeded.

No. Rather, I think you are assuming the words you are using mean something other than what they mean.

Just what are you trying to convey by these two phrases?:

Savings vehicles, on average and over the long haul going forward, will never preserve purchasing power

and

But savings vehicles can be an effective tool for conserving purchasing power

It looks to me like you are contradicting yourself in the same paragraph.

If I am confused by what you mean in your writings, are you so arrogant to assume I am the only one?
