If somehow the hybrid system can be modified run at >400 peak HP, this will be one fast Toyota!

I don't understand the point of this. You could also modify the car by installing a bigger engine or a jet engine...and boy would it be fast.

The idea of building a car with a hybrid gas-electric power train is to optimize the energy efficiency by using gas, electric or both so that the least amount of gasoline is consumed per mile driven...while having a car that is peppy enough to merge onto the freeway and go up hills without any problems.
