If you kept your manual that should tell you exactly what you have.

There is nearly always a page that will show a diagram of the panel labeling each port with an explanation key of what each port is. That's probably the easiest and fastest way to see what you have.

HDMI is the preferred method if you have it available (you said your TV does, but didn't comment on the receiver). If you have any problems with HDMI there's a reasonable chance it is the cable included with your unit. I believe MichaelRead used to comment on that a lot. The ones at Monoprice are great. (Can you tell folks here like Monoprice? ;-)
