If you tender your stock, you are offering it for sale at a particular price to a particular party for a particular period of time. The purchaser may or may not be obliged to purchase what you offer; he may purchase just part of the stock offered from each offeror.

Tender offer
General offer made publicly and directly to a firm's shareholders to buy their stock at a price well above the current market price.

Tender offer premium
The premium offered above the current market price in a tender offer.
