I would go to bat for the person. Step up to defend them and get the heat off of them. But no, I wouldn't lie to keep them out of trouble.

Not at all. I simply don't sleep with people I'm not attracted to. If I stopped being attracted to DH, then I would get out of the marriage, I wouldn't continue to sleep with him.


I've had sex with my current, beloved husband when I was mad at him. I find an organism tends to cure ill will.

For me, being upset with someone's actions doesn't make them any less attractive to me. Those are two completely different situations. DH doesn't stop looking as good as he does just because he makes a decision I don't agree with. Dark hair, broad shoulders, and a charming smile can make up for a lot of small irritants. Then again, we rarely argue, so maybe the right level of irritation has never come up?
