I'll be go to Hell. Doc beat me to it.I was going to ask...WHY ARE YOU PAYING BILL COLLECTORS ON A STUDENT LOAN?" NO NO NO!Get ahold of the original creditor and find out the exact amount. Get writing to the bill collector and tell them you are severing all contact and DO not send them one more d@mn dime. Now what you do is refinance. That's it. Doc is right and I have done it! Get rid of those wretched collectors tomorrow! The loan must be taken over by Dept of Education. I would bet a buck that the bill collectors are not even reporting that this note is being paid off in a timely manner. GET RID OF THEM AND STAY AWAY FROM ANYONE WHO OFFERS TO PAY YOUR BILLS FOR A "FEE". wild :)who is NOW overheated.
