OK, I recently finished reading Joel Rosenberg's book "Epicenter". I think he makes some very interesting observations in his book and that is where I first saw anything about Zion Oil and Gas. I immediately got on line to see what I could find out (just after the IPO). I've been following with great interest ever since. I haven't done any of the hard financial analysis of this company that Fools are famous for. I think this is probably an entirely speculative buy, based on Rosenberg's interpretation of Ezekiel 37.

I haven't bought in yet, but it's tempting at $7.30 (just because that is only slightly higher than the $7.00 per share they were/are offering investor who purchase direct with Zion).

Anyway, I'm hoping that someone out there in Fooldom has done more research on this stock and company than I have, and will jump in here with me to get the discussion going.

I suppose if Zion Oil turns out to be part of the mechanism to fulfill the prophecy in Ezekiel then making all kinds of money won't matter anyway, since the END IS NEAR!

But that's part of the fun too...
