I'll second the sentiment!

I bought my miata, a 90b in 1998 with 69k miles on the clock. In 7.5 yrs I have put 90k miles on it as my daily driver. It's getting a little long in the tooth now with the engine burning a little oil... then again it was manufactured 2 months after I graduated from High School. I'm already planning on buying a new engine and having it installed at a price slightly less than 3k. I figure that will make the car last indefinately as it will be moved to weekend status in a few years when it is sidelined for a larger car as DW and I spawn. I certainly couldn't do much more than put a small downpayment on a new or used car for that amount.

After I got past wanting ALL the go-fast goodies like those found on www.flyinmiata.com it has been a pretty economical car. My biggest expense is sticky tires in the summer and good snow tires in the winter. The amount I've saved in therapy alone is tremendous! It's hard to have a frown when I am driving this little sports car with the top down.

Can't wait til April 1, my official remove the hardtop and enjoy spring day.

Congrats on your choice in a frugal, yet fun, roadster.
