I'm a major conflict avoiderAnd yet, here you are on TMF. ;)This is what you do. Pull out your insurance card. Pull out the copy of the bill.Call the insurance company. This isn't conflict. This is you contacting someone you are paying big effing money to. They have contracted with your doctor for services. You met your obligation, and the doctor (who is the person with whom you have conflict, just so we're clear) is attempting an end-run around that contract. It happens all the time. You aren't going to confront the doctor. If things work for you by UHC the way they do for me by Aetna or BC/BS, they will contact the doctor.OK? You're not confronting anyone. You're still avoiding conflict. Call the insurance company and tell them what happened. They work for you.- T.
