I'm another Subaru fan. My 2002 Outback has 135,000 miles on it with very little work other than normal maintenance. I love the all-wheel drive although it does cut into the mileage a bit. I get 25 in town and 30 on the road. Since it's a wagon, I can fold down the back seats and have space to carry almost anything. It's built in Indiana, so does it even qualify as a "foreign" car?Bob
