I'm going to go into paranoid curmudgeon mode here:

1) Is this spam you received, or could you reasonably be said to have requested this information?

Spam should never be responded to. Never. Reported to the ISP or anti-spam services, perhaps, if you want to take the time.

2) More generally regarding all these "let us help you get your credit report" services, I am suspiscious that these places keep copies of your information.

You can order credit reports direct from the source, in many cases for free. That's what I did, although the mail hasn't come back yet.
