I'm in a similar situation at 24, juggling a Roth and 401k for retirement. I've devised a priority system for my savings, for which meeting my employer's 401k matching limit takes precedence, followed by maxing my IRA, then maxing my 401k. I realistically can't max both accounts, and I consider my Roth a better retirement vehicle in terms of investment options and manageability. However, you should never say no to free additional savings, and opening the 401k would be worth the 2% matching.
