I'm just getting to the point that I like having cash on me and when it's gone then that's it.

If that is what works for you, stick with it!!

Any tips from you fools?

Well, I use my cc a lot - it is a Discover card, so I get the 1% back at the end of the year. It isn't a ton of money, but is better than nothing at all.

What I do is when I charge something, I immediately enter the amount in Quicken and go ahead and deduct it from my checking account using the "savings goals" function. Once the bill is due, I've already set aside the money to pay it.

Now, if you've got two people accessing the same checking account, I can see where you'll run into problems. When I shared a checking and cc account w/ my ex, he was really bad about remembering to tell me when he either bought something or took money out of the ATM. I just ended up making it a daily habit of checking the bank and cc accounts online to see if any new ATM withdrawals or cc charges had been made.

Hope this helps.
