I'm looking at a minimum of $1000 to start for initial investment then a $150 tp $300 a month investment, probably split over 2 week purchases.

Which ones, and those that are recommended, I would like to deal directly with the company...

cat,

You might want to check out the DRIP board:

http://boards.fool.com/messages.asp?mid=20847745&bid=100089

The type of investing you're referring to is definitely DRIP style.

Here are some of the companies I DRIP:

PNY Gives 5% discount on reinvested dividends

WTR Gives 5% discount on reinvested dividends

SO You WILL be dealing DIRECTLY with the company on this one

PGL Increasing dividends since 1995

ATO A safe staid boring dividend paying utility stock

KSE A safe staid boring dividend paying utility stock

WRE 34 consecutive years paying dividends

HCP Very diversified one of the largest REITs

HCN 33 consecutive years paying dividends

DRE Increasing dividends for 10 years

EOP One of the largest REITs in the country & first in S&P 500

FRT Increasing dividends for 36 years

MNRTA Gives 5% discount on reinvested dividends & OCPs
