I'm looking for guidance on deductions for items purchased for a charity (my kids' school). The items fall in two categories: classroom supplies/equipment from teacher wish lists (not just my own kids' classrooms) and unreimbursed expenses for school events that my husband and I helped with. IMO the former are donations of non-cash property, and the latter are unreimbursed expenses, which are treated the same as cash on your return.PhilRule Your Retirement Home Fool
