I'm not against having cops do their paperwork in school parking lots, I think it's a great idea in fact! But it isn't possible in every jurisdiction.

Sounds to me like a decision to amplify a good view of unintended consequences

Even if you assume it will be done as well, there is not way it is done as quickly. End result less police patrolling and great publicity for the police when crimes are committed within view of a police vehicle wherein th4e officer is seen paying no attention to what is going on around him -- all of course caught on a cell's cam.

Do the paperwork as efficiently as possible, do the police work while paying attention. This idea has all the hallmarks of disaster
