I'm not particularly surprised ... after all, we're in a war, we've funding mongo new programs for security, and we're cutting taxes. And the baby boomers will be retiring en mass soon.

Sooner or later we're going to have to either pay the bill or do the inflation rag. If you can't raise taxes up-front, then you try to raise revenue in other, more devious ways.

But after all, what's the truly important thing here? Isn't it that the really wealthy should not pay more taxes than the rest of us just because they are wealthy. Personally, I sleep much better at night knowing that the rich are getting a somewhat better deal now. Don't you?
