I'm not sure anyone can explain Amazon properly. My feeling is Bezos is more concerned with building an empire than building profits.

The bull theory on Amazon is that their revenue growth is like a mountain and eventually Bezos is going to flip a switch and attain a margin... even a small margin will reap big returns.
