I'm not sure if you're including me in that camp or not.

But if so, I'm not attacking the rich. But I think it's reasonable to ask persons with my net worth to pay more in taxes, and to receive less in tax cuts.

Naturally, I'm not going to send in more voluntarily, but I'd have no problem with it if others like me were required to do so.


I think everyone should pay the same percentage. I like the idea of the flat tax, if for no other reason as to eliminate class warfare. Why penalize people who create jobs and take risks, it makes no sense to me. A person who makes 200k would pay 20k in taxes, a person making 100k would pay 10k. No loopholes, no writeoffs for buying a Hummer and saying it's a business expense. It would eliminate a whole topic of discussion and put the focus on government instead of the rich or poor.
