I'm now on my third Honda since then, and I've loved them all.

I do think most Japanese cars are fairly reliable, but I'm 6'5" tall and I've never fit in any japanese car nearly as well as I fit in a VW bug new or old style or any other VW I've sat in. The Japanese have ignored people like me completely. I drive an old Toyota, but after one hour in it, I need painkillers for back leg and shoulder aches. If I ever get in a headon, I'll probably slide under the steering wheel because I have to lean so far back. Sometimes car choices just come down to comfort. I can drive a VW on a fairly long trip with less pain than any Japanese car I've ever been in and most American cars also.
