I'm pretty sure Canon's 10D camera doesn't have this problem. It's only $1,499 street price, I think you should jump on it, and then post lots of photos, so I can live vicariously through you :-P

Nope, the 10D has a 1.6 multiplier. This is nice in the sense that my 400mm lens just became a 640mm lens, and bad in that my 28 just went to 44.8. This means that I'll probably have to get the 17-40 zoom when it comes out just to get back where I started (28ish mm).

The 1Ds is full frame but it's big bucks.
