I'm wondering what has happened to the notion of us children taking care of our parents...long term.Since my Step-Dad died a year and a half ago I have been living with and caring for my Mom, I still work full time with the Post Office as I have for 22 years but I have one of two women caretakers with her 24/7,I know she needs me around to so I try to spend as much time as I can with her.She wants to stay in her home, and as long as she can thats where she will stay. Im just thankfull my parents left me with the financial means to do this, even though they never paid for long term care insurance.
