IMHO go with a Mutual Fund company. I would look into TIAA-CREF ( or Vanguard (

I would also suggest that you run, do not walk, out and buy "Personal Finance for Dummies" and then "Mutual Funds for Dummies." Both are by Eric Tyson. Both are very easy and fast reads, and both will give you a very solid, basic, understanding about jumping into investing.
