IMO, when people have such a negative response to something new and hold on that the method they know is far superior, even though they haven't even tried the new method, what they're really saying is "I don't want to try something new". No law against being close minded

You're being just slightly judgmental, don't you think?

I am not close-minded. I just don't see the need to use a plastic bottle to do something that I can do with the egg's own shell!

BTW - nowhere did I say that the method I used was "far superior"; I merely said that I would continue to use the method that I've found successful for over 45 years.
