In case anyone has not seen this, Obsidian launches the Project Eternity on Kickstarter.http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/obsidian/project-eternit......They hit the $1.1mil goal in about a day and a half. This might be a good way for developers to get around the executive who says 'People don't like that sort of game anymore'. This usually translated to, 'We made crap games to cash in on a trend and the trend went away'. Ok, crap anything. Disney said that people no longer wanted to see hand drawn animation anymore because everyone was watching Pixar movies and not their movies. Trouble was, by the time they said that they had been producing awful animated movies for a while. Brother Bear might have been a decent movie, but Finding Nemo came out that year.So good for Obsidian for finding a way to make the game they want to make and not have to worry about a lot of focus grouped feedback. Also, they don't have to worry about the executive demanding a multiplayer mode.Ford
